February 26, the seminar on promoting the construction of international education demonstration zone was held on Foshan Campus of SCNU.
Chairman of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) Branch of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education, Fang Jun, executive director of the China Education Association for International Exchange, Zong Wa, chairman of the Specialized Committee on International Exchange of the Association for Private Education (APIE), Wang Shenggang, and deputy secretary-general of APIE, came to the campus to communicate, Zhou Xiangjun visited Foshan campus and join the seminar. Vice President Liu Jianwen, the leaders and deans from International Exchange and Cooperation Office of SCNU, Foshan Campus Management Committee, IBC, Aberdeen Joint Institute, Faculty of Engineering attended the meeting.
Vice President Liu Jianwen welcomed the experts and gave a brief introduction of the campus and the Action Plan of building Foshan Campus the international Education Demonstration Zone. He urged that Foshan Campus will adhere to the combination of “bringing in” and “going out” to strengthen the construction of academic disciplines and cultivate excellent applied talents.
Prof. Wu Jianli dean of IBC introduced the development of Sino-foreign Joint education Program, and Joint Institute and the future work plan.
The experts and leaders conducted in-depth exchange and discussion on joint education, high level talent cultivation and International Student Programs. The seminar is not only a good exchange, but also an opportunity to sort out and absorb the valuable suggestions from the experts, to further optimize the top-level design for the initiative of internationalization, so as to build Foshan campus to be an internationalized education demonstration zone.
